Luis Milla Sad Indonesian National Team Failed to Escaped
U22 Indonesia national team coach, Luis Milla, admitted sad because his team failed to qualify for the U-23 Asia Cup 2018 in China.
Indonesia’s move to stop after Evan Dimas and his friends drew a goalless draw with Thailand in their third Group H match at the National Stadium in Bangkok on Sunday (7/23/2017).
One of Indonesia’s failure factors to escape is the flooding of the field on some sides after heavy rain since the fifth minute.
This result makes Indonesia finish in third place with 4 points achievement. Thailand is in second place, under Malaysia.
“The game was sad because I saw my players working very hard and they should be able to get away from the group,” Milla said after the match.
“But unfortunately the result is not supportive,” he added.
After the break, Milla had time to play a pure attacker, Marinus Wanewar.
Because still dull, Milla plot Hansamu Yana as the attacker ahead of the end of the fight. He is expected to take advantage of cross-feeds.
Hansamu had managed to head the ball but the skin round still failed to hit the target.
“We need two big players, we are looking for a goal through a long ball game, we understand how to play Thailand but when it comes to the field it is very difficult and the players have to work hard to play on the field like this,” said Milla.
